Music and djing is one of my favorite hobbies and pastimes. As a dj with limited time, i’m having a hard time keeping up with music across all of the websites, and often find myself missing huge bombs and purchasing the same track multiple times from different sources. Today, there are multiple websites and applications that can suggest new music (last.fm), but nothing tailored specifically for djs. I searched high and low for an application or website to fix all my problems, but nothing exists!!! What better time to experiment with mobile applications, let’s create an app that will deliver all bombs to my phone on the go.
Goal:
Create a mobile application that can aggregate multiple dj website sources, import previous mp3 purchases, serato playlist data, and crowdsourced data to compile and suggest new songs and artists. The application would support features to buy songs/mp3s from the cheapest host, rate songs, remixes, djs, and options to share/view friends recent purchases and current playlists.
How does it work?
Users download mobile application, connect with facebook or twitter to create allbombs profile. Users can begin listening and rating music. We encourage users to connect and import data from each website (beatport, traxsource, juno, itunes, djdownload, and hypemachine), simple pass the login credentials via oauth for each source. Allbombs will not record your visa number, but simply compile previous order history to understand your buying patterns and music style. We use that information against other allbombs users to deliver the best songs possible.
Status: in development, beta out soon
